Recommendations for merger

Campus Council’s General Body passed a series of recommendations tonight for the pending merger with DSG. Here they are.

Meeting 1-20-11

Hey guys! Here are the minutes from this week’s meeting. This was a pretty important meeting for Campus Council as we discussed a referendum involving a merger of DSG and Campus Council. Here’s the article from the Chronicle as well.

Doing your laundry – for free!

Want your laundry done… for free?

We’re always interested in gaining student feedback and seeing the ideas you have, so we wanted to incentivize you to come up with the most creative, practical idea for a residential improvement. In short, give us the best idea, and we’ll pay for the Laundrymen to do your laundry for a whole semester. It takes just a minute to do and could make your life next semester a whole lot easier (and cleaner). Submit your ideas here. Deadline is 12/19.

Meeting 11/18/10

Hey everyone! Today’s meeting mainly revolved around a discussion of the progress of the House Model. In the minutes, you’ll find tons of info about the House Model along with some info about a new policy about SLGs on Central Campus and a preview for the discussion of changes to the Party Policy which will take place at our next meeting after Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

A Viking Tribute

Campus Council sponsored a tribute to former member Drew Everson at Sunday’s basketball game against Princeton. The first 1,000 students at the home opener were given viking helmets – a nod to the trademark viking hat worn by Everson, a line monitor, to every home game. Read more here. We miss you, Drew.

Meeting 11/11/10

Hey guys! Here are the minutes from this week’s meeting and, as always, the Chronicle article discussing it.

Many thanks to Brian Williams from Duke Parking and Transportation for coming to the meeting to answer all our transportation and parking questions. Some questions you might be interested include discussions of the C2 bus routes, improvements for bikers and, my personal favorite, repaving the roads around Duke!

For everyone interested in the House Model…

There was another article in today’s Chronicle discussing the impact the House Model will have on diversity. Check it out here if you missed it.

Meeting 11/4/10

Hey everyone! Here are the minutes from last night’s meeting and an article from the Chronicle. The major focuses of the meeting were the mid-semester update from FSC, how RLHS is preparing for bed bugs and the approval of a new resolution dealing with the Off Campus Lottery.

Meeting 10/28/10

Hey guys! Here are the minutes for this week’s meeting and the write-up in the Chronicle.
As you can see, the main topic of the night was CoEd housing so definitely check these out if you want to learn more about what’s going on with this new resolution.

Check it out!

In case you missed it, there was another article in today’s Chronicle concerning the Gender-Neutral Housing policy.

Looks like RLHS will be discussing the proposal at their meeting today. Hopefully, they will figure out the logistics of implementing this program soon!
