Hindu Students Association (HSA) – Duke University

We welcome you to attend our first event of the school year – The Hindu Chaplain Meet and Greet. Duke is one of a few select universities that has received funding for a Hindu Chaplain on campus. Join us as we welcome Usha Rajgopalan to Duke University. This is your chance to meet her, find out what she does, and learn more about her. The event will be in McClendon 5 at 7:30pm on September 27th. We hope to see you there.

The Hindu Students Association (HSA) at Duke University was founded by a handful of dedicated students in 1998. In the past decade, HSA has grown into a vibrant community of young people who are committed to engaging their faith culturally, intellectually, and spiritually. Today, in addition to convening weekly scripture studies and monthly temple trips, the students coordinate annual celebrations of Hindu festivals and orchestrate Hinduism Awareness Week each spring. An official religious group on campus, HSA also holds an annual Hindu Baccalaureate Service for graduating Hindu students and their families during commencement week. Most recently, HSA has inaugurated their very own prayer room.
