Rugby president, Riot, went to Danville, VA today to play with the NCRU U23 team against UVA. She “thinks” the game was tied. *Claps.*

Yesterday, October 17th, Duke Women’s Rugby lost to UNCG Rugby 45-20. Duke tries were scored by Hillary Hei, Julie Neubauer, Kelsey Porter and Chelsea Masters. There was no kicking for points or conversions due to a lack of goal posts. We’ll stick to morning games from now on. Duke Women’s Rugby rucked over Guilford College 25-10 on Oct 10th. 3 tries were scored by Gonzo, junior, 1 try by Birdie, also junior, and 1 try by Lons, rookie. No conversions were made. Game was away at Guilford. Ruck to the east, ruck to the west – Duke Ruggers ruck the best! So, keep on rucking ruggers – ruck those blues away! We were very excited to hear that Rugby would be in the 2016 games! It was added this week, along with a slower sport, golf, by an overwhelming majority vote of the Olympic Board (What is an Olympic Board?) Rugby Sevens will be played in the Olympics and the World Sevens Tourny/Cup will be cancelled. Rugby has not been played in the Olympics since Paris 1924. Welcome to the Duke Women’s Rugby Football Club Webpage! Look around, learn about rugby, meet our team, get directions – whatever… |
